Bikini Area Hair Removal
Pubic hair might be the indicator of sexual maturity and does not grow without a reason but many women are paying a lot of attention to the appearance of their genital area, especially when wearing a swimsuit. In majority of women pubic hair often grows also at the top of the inside of the legs which is visible if wearing a bikini. Since pubic hair sticking out of the bikini on the legs or is not acceptable in anyway the majority of women remove the hair from the bikini area.
The bikini area is one of the most sensitive areas on the body and for that reason requires special attention while removing the hair. Like in removing hair on other parts of the body there are several different methods to remove the bikini area hair:
- shaving is still very popular method but it can irritate the skin, cause red bumps which are almost equally disturbing as the hair itself and ingrown hair, not to mention the risk of cutting oneself
- waxing provides longer period of hairlessness than shaving but it can be very painful
- depilatories can be also used for bikini area hair removal but they can result severe skin irritation and allergic reactions, while the period of hairlessness in majority of depilatories lasts only for few days
Since all temporary hair removal options have to be repeated within several hours, days or weeks and may result series of unwanted side effects or are very painful many women rather decide to remove the bikini area hair permanently with electrolysis, intense pulsed light or laser. Although any permanent hair removal method is not exactly "permanent" and might result hair re-growth but the hair is much finer and less thick. Besides that all reviews of experts are greatly in favor of permanent hair removal methods both concerning safety and efficiency.
