Permanent Hair Removal
Many women and men after a while get tired of shaving almost every day or suffer the pain while pulling the hair from the roots with an epilator or waxing which may be more tolerable if the hair does not grow for several weeks. However, for those whose hair re-grow after few days despite removing it with the roots the pain is less tolerable. After all, waxing and removing hair with an epilator is not even close as funny like it is to the models in the commercials and it does not get any better with time. On the other hand shaving only removes hair for very short time and it often also result hair ingrowth, while depilatories may not be appropriate for everyone and for all areas of the body. Thus in compare to temporary hair removal solution, permanent hair removal is the most effective as well as the most comfortable solution.
Regardless to all advantages and disadvantages of both temporary and permanent hair removal methods nobody would choose a temporary solution if he/she was offered permanent. The reason why so many people still insist in temporary hair removal method is the fact that the permanent options are very expensive. However, if we calculate the costs of all razor blades, depilatories, waxing at a licensed cosmetologist, etc. people use in their lifetime the costs of permanent hair removal options are not so high.
Permanent hair removal solutions at the moment include three methods:
- electrolysis, electrical depilation which effectively removes each hair separately but it takes a very long time - to remove the hair from one leg with electrolysis it would take more that 48 hours
- intense pulsed light (IPL), hair removal with use of broad-spectrum light which is applied to the certain area of the body, while the hair absorbs the light and converts it into the heat which reaches and destroys the hair root
- and laser hair removal, efficiency and safety of which have been published in many dermatology literature
